Next basic obedience class starting March 19th  at 6:00 P.M.

If you adopted a dog from a shelter/ rescue in the last three months you get 20% off your training class.

Please take a look at a couple videos of past Akita's that came through here to start a new beginning of their lives. Shawn, the first one listed, came from a very bad past life. He is a member of our family now and has come a long way.

The second video is Zoey. She did not like most other dogs and needed training as she did not have very good manners. Being a senior dog it took a little longer to re-train and socialize her.

We work with Midwest Akita Rescue Society (M.A.R.S.). Most orphans that we get here need some extra TLC. Training is a life long commitment, Shawn has been with us for three years and will never be a normal dog. So when you go to a shelter or a rescue, remember you can re-train most dogs, even older ones. It will take a little longer but the bond that you get from it is worth everything.

Mike and Tracey have worked in the "pet industry" for a combined total of 34 years. Although grooming is a relatively new aspect of the pet industry for Tracey, she has groomed for about 5 years. she has worked in boarding kennels since she was 15 years old and has a passion for working with animals. The previous kennel she was manager. They had over 120 kennels that had two shifts. She worked closely with the Department of Agriculture.
